Our Story

We are a husband and wife design and build team in the Central Texas area specializing in custom and semi-custom homes. Whether you are transforming your latest fixer-upper or building your dream home, our process at Whyte Oak Homes is specifically designed with your end-goals in mind. Having six people under our roof, we know that a house isn’t just a house. It’s a home. Keeping that in mind, our team is committed to making your vision come to life.

Meet the team

 

Luke Whyte
Founder & CEO

Luke Whyte is our CEO and oversees all business operations and development for Whyte Oak Homes. Since graduating with a BBA from Baylor in 2010, Luke has helped start and operate several successful businesses including Waco Tours (currently ranked #4 for all US tours). Luke specializes in business strategy, excellent communication, diligent delegation, and superior customer service. Luke is also fluent in Spanish which comes in very helpful in this industry!

Rachel Whyte
Founder & CCO

Rachel Whyte is our Chief Creative Officer and leads our design team. Rachel has also started multiple businesses. Her photography company has been contracted by HGTV for multiple home improvement shows. She specializes in creative design, brand management and photography. She has designed and managed both commercial and residential projects in Central Texas as well as oversaw the complete design of the Whyte’s wedding venue, Old Bethany Wedding and Events which has won #1 Wedding Venue for the past two years.

 

Josh Fluker
Project Manager

Josh is one of our Project Managers. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science. Since then, he has worked in both commercial and residential construction. Previously, Josh was personally responsible for over 20+ homes per year. Josh oversees all projects at Whyte Oak. From remodels, to restorations, to custom homes, Josh is our industry expert.

Cinco Winston
Project Manager

Cinco is one of our Project Managers. He graduated in 2019 from Texas A&M where he received a degree in Construction Science. After working on both commercial and residential projects in the Carolinas, Cinco and his family moved back to Texas to build high quality custom homes in Waco. He is eager to help families turn their dreams into realities.

 

Bella Smith
Interior Designer

Bella is our Interior Designer. She graduated from Baylor University in 2023 as a student-athlete with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science in Interior Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has experience in residential, commercial, and manufacturing within the design industry. She is excited to use her knowledge to work with others to bring their dreams to life. 

Caidon Glover
Operations Admin

Caidon is our Operations Administrator for Whyte Oak Homes. After graduating with her Master’s degree in Social Work (2016) from Baylor, Caidon worked in the adoption field. She spent years helping others build their family, and now she is helping families build their homes. As an administrative part of the team, Caidon is excited to serve you alongside your Whyte Oak Homes project.
